Novosibirsk – Take a Tour of the Historic Town

Novosibirsk is the third most important city in Russia. It is only recently that tourists are discovering this city. The unspoiled natural beauty of the place is mesmerizing. The tour helped me experience the authentic taste of Russia. There are many places to explore. So, if you plan to visit the city anytime soon, here are a few things that you shouldn’t miss out on.

Art Museum

Visiting Novosibirsk and not visiting the Art Museum would have been a huge mistake. This is the extensive most galleries in Siberia. You will find everything from local crafts, sculptures, to exquisite icons. I was surprised to find out that there are more than 10,000 in this museum. Hence, there are a plethora of masterpieces that you can explore.

Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

The historical cathedral had been created in 1898. It is one of the first buildings that have been made of stone. The architecture is characteristics of Neo-Byzantine style. What attracted me to the cathedral was the golden dome. I was told about this by my old friend Andrey who has Ukrainian descent.  He suggested I visit this spot when I arrived.  So glad to make the decision to do so.  It is just the perfect place to get away from the humdrum life of the city. The cathedral has a peaceful interior.

The Lenina Square

The heart of Novosibirsk is Lenina Square. It is brimming with culture and activity. The place is home to several important buildings in the city. You will also find some architectural excellence. Here you will find the State Concert Hall, Philaharmonic Orchestra, and also the Opera and the Ballet Theater. The central point of the square is the statue of Vladimir Lenin.

Novosibirsk Zoo

This is a world-famous zoo. If you are traveling with your kids, this is the best place to be. There are over 10,000 different animals. For me, it proved to be a natural getaway. I was thrilled to see the setting of the idyllic pine forest.

Santiago De Queretaro

Santiago de Querétaro is one of the beautiful cities in Mexico. When I visited this city, I was amazed to see how the Spanish colonial architecture is well-preserved. This city has beautiful baroque buildings that include the Santa Rosa de Viterbo church. You should definitely consider visiting the nearby San Fransisco church. The Querétaro Regional Museum here displays some pre-Hispanic, colonial and republican artifacts. There are a number of places that you can visit and enjoy the beauty here, the way I did:

  • Temploy Convento De La Santa Cruz

One of the most interesting places of this city is the Temploy Convento. This is a convent/church and dates back to the 15th century. This convent offers you a cross of tree thorns along with an outdoor splash fountain to enjoy upon.

  • Centro Histórico

This one is the historic center of Mexico City. Being the central neighborhood in the city, this is famous as Centro. What I saw was that this place focused on Zocalo or main plaza.

  • Acueducto De Querétaro

Another one attraction of the city is Acueducto de Querétaro. This beautiful and iconic stone aqueduct was dated back to the 18th century and is over 28m high and around 1300m long. This symbol is also one of the largest in whole Mexico. Also, the aqueduct is considered as the symbol of the City of Querétaro. So, I am sure you will definitely like this place.

  • Plaza De Armas Querétaro

If you are a fun lover, then this is definitely a place to be visited. So, if you want to chill and relax you can definitely visit this one. This is a park with the city’s most famous playground, bicycle path along with a dog park. The park is so big that I personally didn’t feel crowded. Apart from these, you can plan a visit to Museo Casa de la Zacatecana, El Cerrito, and Alameda Hidalgo. As per my experience, these places are also a worth to visit.

Enjoy The Adventure And Architecture Of San Miguel De Allende

San Miguel de Allende Is the city of the colonial era and the central Highlands of Mexico. This city is popular for its baroque Spanish architecture, cultural festivals and thriving arts.  I am a travel freak and when I got to know about the beauty of San Miguel de Allende I couldn’t stop myself. I love everything about the city like its history, the neo-Gothic church Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. I liked the pink towers of the church rise above the El Jardín. I also visited the church Templo de San Francisco, which was close to the place and was mesmerized to the facade of 18th-century Churrigueresque

There are many other attractions present here in addition to this, and some of the others that impressed me were the Museo Histórico de San Miguel de Allende, Mercado de Artesanías. This is the place where you can buy the indigenous handicraft of San Miguel de Allende. Have a look at the other fascinating things of the place.

  • El Charco Del Ingenio

You are a fan of a botanical garden or a botanist this is the place you would love to visit. but, if you are not the one above mentioned still a nature lover; you would still love this place. El Charco del Ingenio has lots of natural beauty and you will get plenty of peaceful time here. enjoy the sunrise and sunset here Without spending too much amount on travel.

  • Juárez Park

This is basically a tranquil park and I loved this park. It has colorful flowers all around, benches placed under shade trees, sit here to have some relaxing time. Along with that, the park has a playground as well.

  • San Miguel Parque De Aventuras

This is the best spot for adventure lovers as there are many activities present that you can try and love it. You can try zip lining which is fun. You can also try canyoning, ridden motorcycles, rock climbing, etc.

Markham: What To Do And Where To Go?

Markham is the city where old meets the new. The suburban neighborhood, the rolling hills, and 19th-century homes capture my heart like nothing else. The various recreational facilities that the city has to offer will make your visit worthwhile. There are many things to do and see. If you ever visit Toronto, make sure you travel to Markham, even if it is for a day. Here are some of the things you are doing while you are in the city.

  • Choose your own vegetables and fruits

Visit the Whittamore’s Farm; this is a great place to be with your family. It covers an area of 200 acres. I was thrilled to pick fresh pumpkins, strawberries, peas, pumpkins, and raspberries. To speak truly, it is more than just a farm. You are going to have so much fun by jumping on the trampolines or even sliding through the tubes.

  • Tour the historic neighborhoods

The city is an eclectic combination of old and new. The picturesque neighborhood simply took my breath away. The best area that you can explore is Unionville. There are beautiful homes, amazing boutiques, and great restaurants serving delicious food. Yet another neighborhood that you can wander around is the Main Street. There are historic homes which have now been transformed into restaurants and local shops.

  • Check out a museum

Visit the Markham Museum. This museum enumerates the story about the growth of the city. There are about 30 buildings. A majority of them are historic, depicting the life in the past. It displays the excavated artifacts. If you are lucky, you will be able to witness one among the many temporary exhibitions which are held throughout the year. If you want to have a picnic with your family, there is an incredible garden for doing that. I enrolled my kid in a day program that the museum has.

Three Crucial Tips While Choosing Travelling Insurance Cover

Do you travel a lot? Then you should have the best insurance cover on every trip you make. Many people do not buy travelling covers yet it is the most important thing to consider when planning for a journey. Travelling is one of the most uncertain events.  Accidents, disasters, and loss of valuables can change your enjoyable trip to a nightmare. Although you can not recover everything when a disaster strikes, an insurance cover will help you regain some of your belongings. In case of accidents, insurance can aid in evacuation and payment of hospital bills.

1. Should You Opt for Annual or Instant Policy Cover?

At one time, you will have to choose between an annual cover or per trip cover. The choice you make should depend on the number of trips you make per year. If you are always travelling, you can go for the annual cover because it will be cheaper that way. However, if you visit places with different risks, you will have to take a cover for each trip.

2.  How to Reduce Insurance Premium Cost

There are many ways to reduce the premium payable to the travel insurance agent. Your insurance broker may not let you know everything you need to minimize the cost of insurance. If you are planning for a domestic journey, you do not need to buy a cover which is already in your primary insurance policy. Try as much as possible to buy policies directly from an insurance provider. Insurance brokers can pocket as much as 50% of your money for a cover you had decided to buy. If you are travelling as a family or a group, do not purchase individual covers. Group covers attract a generous discount. Some banks extend their loyalty services to insurance. Check all the credit cards you have and see if you can find one which has free insurance cover. Avoid cheap travel insurance covers because they are not reliable. Although the broker may be convincing, there must be a reason why the cover is so much less expensive than the others. By the time you know why they are cheap, it will be too late.

3.  What if You Cancel the Trip?

Anything can happen between the time you have paid for the insurance cover and the time you are leaving. Canceling the trip might be the only viable option. Many insurance companies do not offer a cancellation policy. Find companies which can agree to refund or at least allow you to postpone the cover until you are ready to travel. You can never be sure of anything during travelling. After all, that is the reason why you are buying the policy.

You should decide which insurance policy best caters to your needs early enough. The last-minute rush will make you end up with a policy which is almost useless. Search for the most suitable, affordable and flexible policy for your trip so that you can have peace of mind as you travel.
